Stop Food Waste
Someone greatly in need could use the food you are throwing away.
150,000 tons of Food is being wasted everyday in the US alone.
This is affecting kids everywhere - in big cities, rural areas, and even right next door. Race and income level are driving factors in determining who has access and money for food and who doesn’t.
The Food pantry helps out more than 1,000 families in the town and to anyone in other towns who are in need. But, due to the number families in need, the food supplies are running low.
They are in dire need of both perishables and non-perishable food items. Specifically, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, and apple sauce. Their goal is to help as many families in need as they can. But, their goal can only be achieved through our help.
Hey, I'm Aliya! I was motivated to make this website because so many people in my town are turning towards the local food pantry for help. This really opened my eyes and made me realize that this problem must be addressed and change needs to happen soon.
